Portuguese A2: a preparation learning path
A useful order for combining our materials, based on the task you want to practise.
- Fact check (oldest dependency):
- Editorial review:
Choose your next step
Choose by the task you want to address. This path organises study; it does not decide which evidence is accepted for your procedure.
1. Identify your task
Decide whether you are learning or seeking a document; these are different decisions.
2. Read instructions and short texts
Try instructions, notices and messages before increasing speed.
3. Listen and check the details
Do one dialogue per session, check answers and review expressions.
4. Write, speak and combine exercises
Work on all four task types. A quiz alone does not assess your complete A2 level.
Use new material to observe difficulties. This path offers no guaranteed time to A2 or certificate.
Short answer: choose by your current difficulty
If simple sentences are still difficult, begin with the beginner guide and instructions. If you read easily but miss numbers in audio, choose a dialogue. If you understand a situation but cannot reply, use part of the session for writing or conversation. You do not have to complete everything in one fixed order.
The map below is an editorial proposal. A2 describes communication abilities; completing these links does not certify those abilities. If you need evidence for a procedure, first compare the evidence options and confirm the purpose.
The CEFR describes A2 as simple, direct communication in routine tasks on familiar matters and simple descriptions of personal background and immediate needs.
Last checked:A session with a task, review and next step
Choose one short task. Try it, check the explanation and record a specific difficulty. Then use new material to see whether that difficulty improved. Listen to an appointment today and work on transport another time; you do not need to accumulate dozens of answers in one sitting.
For writing and speaking, use examples and self-review checklists in practice papers. Multiple-choice results do not measure those skills. Practice allows replay and uses advisory timing; consult CAPLE for official exam rules.
