Component durations do not establish when you can leave the centre. Confirm attendance instructions, timetable, breaks and oral interaction time with the centre. We do not calculate a personal timetable from the approximate duration.
CAPLE summarises CIPLE duration as approximately 2 hours plus a 15-minute break.
Last checked:CIPLE registration is handled through CAPLE's registration link and published LAPE exam centres.
Last checked:Grading and examination fee
CAPLE’s grading belongs to a language examination with its own criteria. Our educational practice score cannot be converted to that scale. The fee is year-sensitive; open the source before paying.
For CIPLE, 55% to 69% is graded Sufficient; therefore 55% is the published threshold for a passing grade.
Last checked:CAPLE's published 2026 CIPLE fee is €95.
Last checked:Preparing with official samples
On the exam page, find reading/writing and listening samples. Use the answer keys for review and prepare spoken interaction separately. This site does not grade essays or certify language proficiency.
